We’re so glad you stopped by! This is the blog of MK2MK, a ministry by and for TCKs (Third Culture Kids). If you’re a TCK like us, we’d love for this to be a place where you can read our stories and be reminded of your own and maybe even share them. If you have no idea what a TCK is, that’s cool too – you can learn more here!
What Are Third Culture Kids?
A Third Culture Kid is a person who has spent a significant part of his or her developmental years outside their parents’ culture. The Third Culture Kid builds relationships to all cultures, while not having full ownership in any. Although elements from each culture are assimilated into the third culture kid’s life experience, the sense of belonging is in relationship to others of the same background, other TCKs.”
– from Third Culture Kids: Growing Up Among Worlds by David C. Pollock and Ruth E. Van Reken
“If you hate being asked “Where are you from?,” chances are, you’re a Third Culture Kid. You’re a global nomad, an international traveler, a wanderlust. …TCKs are, quite literally, citizens of the world. They are hard to define and are made of an infinite amount of experiences.”

More About MK2MK
The mission of mk2mk is to build a global spiritual movement of MKs who impact their world for Christ.
The vision of mk2mk is to build a global, spiritual movement of missionary kids who impact their world for Christ. As a part of Campus Crusade for Christ, our focus is primarily the MKs in our organization; however, all MKs are welcome to be part of this community.
It is a community where discipleship and encouragement happen because connection is made possible through numerous venues around the world. When Jesus said to go out into the entire world, he made it pretty clear: we need to be making disciples.
Our focus is simple–college-age MKs discipling teenage MKs. Through the relationships that are created, and the discipleship that flows from these connections, MKs around the globe are having an impact for Christ where they live.
- MKs as an integral part of any mission
- A proactive flow of care for MKs living internationally
- Partnering with other ministries
- Developing MKs to grow in their walks with God, character and competency
- Connecting with MKs, parents and the organization
